Questions Parents Ask Shy Children Corporate Event Questions
- How long has Fitzwilly been a clown? Since 1989.
- Did he go to clown school? He first enrolled as a drama student in college. In 1999 he was accepted as a student at Mooseburger clown camp located in Minnesota.
- How often does he update his skills? Since 1999, he continually takes classes and workshops held by former Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey clowns. Including clown movement, balloon art, face painting, games, clown magic, juggling and story telling.
- Does he wear a professional clown outfit? Yes! It is important to him that he not only has professional skills, but also that he looks professional. He wants to make sure that he is fun to look at too. He would never think about buying one of those ugly halloween costumes meant only for halloween to scare kids.
- How many children can Fitzwilly entertain at a birthday party? He can entertain any number of kids during his clown magic. However; when it comes to balloon AND face painting, you want to hire at least two hours for about 12-15 kids. You can call him and discuss other options.
- I am having a birthday party at my home. Should I prepare the kids to eat before, during or after Fitzwilly's entertainment? At a home party, it is best to schedule eating time to either be finished before Fitzwilly arrives or after Fitzwilly leaves. We suggest not to have eating time during the show. If you choose to have eating time before his arrival, please clean the childrens hands and faces before entertainment. This is suggested for a number of reasons. Some being, clean kids look better in photos with Fitzwilly, cause he is clean too. It is easier to face paint clean faces. Actually we do not paint dirty faces at all. And Fitzwilly can choose little hands to help in the show this way.
- At a birthday party, does Fitzwilly participate in the cutting of the cake? He can, this time can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes and leaves him less time or no time complete other features of his show that he may have promised you when booking the order. You may want to hire him in advance for more time just to participate in the cutting of the cake.
- Can Fitzwilly lead the hitting of a piñata, you know get the kids in line, root for whoever is hitting it, count the turns, keep kids back if the piñata drops a few candies? Again, he can, but this time can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the number of kids, strength they are, strength of the piñata, number of piñatas and the possible given chances to hit it for each kid and leaves him less time or no time complete other features of his show that he may have promised you when booking the order. You may want to hire him in advance for more time just to participate in the hitting of the piñata.
- We are having a "Pool Party", but we want to hire entertainment, how can that work? We suggest you hire Fitzwilly either before kids are scheduled to get in pool or after they have already been scheduled to get in pool. We do not recommend face painting or balloons at a pool party. We suggest clown magic and story telling and games.
- How much space is suggested to provide for the show and play area? This depends on the number of kids in the audience. Fitzwilly himself suggests at least 5ft x 7ft for visual and participation purposes for his show. Games area, depends on the number of kids present and the kind of games to be played if any.
- Does Fitzwilly stay after the party to pose for photos with he kids? He can pose for photos with the kids any time during his agreed paid time at a party or event. He arrives and departs on time. Overtime may be available according to his daily schedule for an additional fee. This includes any time past his agreed paid time.
- If the party is at a park, should I pay for his entrance or parking fee? Yes, for safety reasons, Fitzwilly does not always have change with him. Different parks may have no or low or high parking fees that he may not have included in your bill when reserving.
- If the party is at a restaurant, should I ask the manager for permission before reserving Fitzwilly? Yes. Some restaurants have their own mascot and may not welcome an outside entertainer. Some restaurants prefer for parties who hire entertainment to reserve a special room. Some restaurant managers need talk with the entertainer to discuss the kind of entertainment allowed at their location.
- My child is in Preschool. Can Fitzwilly visit the school/day care and bring fun to the classmates to help us celebrate the birthday during the week at school? Yes. Smaller children at this tender age really enjoy Fitzwilly because he is experienced with making this age group laugh with his child like clown personality. His oopsie's are just as surprising to him as they are to the kids and together the kids help him create a fun experience.
- Can Fitzwilly perform "Stage Shows" like in a school cafeteria for a school event or for a public event? Yes. This kind of show does require much thought and time. Things to consider are time, sound, space, other entertainment. Please call Dan for more information. Sound needs to provided if large event.

There are many kinds of churches and beliefs and therefore, a themed message may not always be possible for Fitzwilly. He does entertain in a clean, wholesome, fun and godly manner. For Libraries, reading is fun, reinacting stories, bringing books to life, creating a show for a certain subject are all possible. Please contact Dan for more information. Sound needs to be provided if large event.

Yes. Please contact Dan well in advance to make sure all details are met. Grassy area, number of kids expected, area of the park if needed. Water availability for the water balloons. We suggest companies to provide either gift certificates or small prizes for game participants. When your company budget allows, we also suggest that your Family Day also conduct an hourly raffle or bingo to encourage longer participation even after food has been served. The best prize can be given last to end the festivities. Sound or a bull horn should be provided by your company for larger crowds.
- We'd like to hire Fitzwilly for our company event, what do we need to provide, and what does he provide? Please provide all contact information. Any parking or special entrance information. Please provide at least one table or booth depending on the kind of event you are holding. Fitzwilly brings all other necessary props and supplies needed. Sound should be provided if stage show for larger crowds.
- Our company is going to be a booth sponsor at an upcoming event, can Fitzwilly make wacky balloon hats at our booth to gain attention and bring passer byers to our booth to get our company information and a wacky balloon hat? Yes. Just imagine the festive looking atmosphere wacky hats will create. Anyone can pass out a sticker with their company information on and not gain any recognition or response or even a memory. But a wacky hat? Your company will be the talk of the event on that day and for much time after. When you some of the same people days and weeks after the event, they will still mention that clown with the wacky hats at your booth. Oh, and photos are being taken by photographers and participants, your company will be in their album for just about forever. We suggest have printed labels with your company name and booth number for Fitzwilly to put on the wacky balloon hat.
