When I began clowning in 1989, I started working for South
San Francisco performing for their special holiday events. During
this time I developed my character and my craft. I joined Clowns
Around where I met other clowns and learned even more about the
art of clowning.
I then enrolled in "Clown Camp" at the University of
WI, which is an extensive course in the art of clowning and circus
skills. After returning from Clown Camp I decided to venture
out on my own.
In 1993 I had the opportunity of taking one on one training from
"Frosty" Little who in 1991 retired from Ringling Bros.
Circus with 21 years experience and given honor as "Master
Clown". Frosty worked with me to refine my character and
teach me the finer points of clowning and I learned the true
meaning of "Professional".
Since my training with Frosty I have done hundreds of birthday
party shows, company picnics, libraries, schools, wedding receptions,
baby showers, grand openings, corporate events and balloon deliveries.
Even though I have been clowning now for 10 years I will never
forget something "Buttons" told us at a seminar I attended
"When you are green you grow, when you are ripe you get
rotton". That is why to this day I still continue my education
by attending seminars, workshops and lectures featuring entertainers
like Homer the Clown, Mr. Clown, Buttons, Randy Munson, Sammy
Smith, Dave Mitchell and other well known family entertainers.
